Collective Haul

I've been a little sloppy recently with buying things theres just not a lot that I really need and I am trying to save up a bit of money to start building up a make up kit. However, over the past couple of weeks I have picked up a few things to try out and some things that I have lusted over for a while.

To kick things off, I made an order on FeelUnique.com and I have seen so many youtubers and bloggers rave about the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, and firstly I have to say I really dislike the smell to me it smells like a cat flea treatment(?) but I am in the middle of using it and I got the 30ml bottle for £10.35 and the second thing I got was the Caudalie Make-Up Removering Cleansing Water 100ml for £8.10 which I am currently using (as you can see) and I am trying to work out if this product is breaking me out as I've had a un-normal (for me) amount of spots. Sad times. But unlike the elixir it smells far better.

Next up is the Botanics 100% Organic Rosewater Toning Spritz £3.49 from Boots. I've not heard anything about this product and as Ive had some pretty disturbing break outs over the past week, I thought I would pick this up as it says it cleanses impurities, this product also states it tightens your pores and removes any last traces of make-up. Also from Boots I bumped into the Origins counter and picked up the Origins Super Spot Remover Blemish
Treatment Gel which in the shop cost me £13.00 but looking on the website it only says £12.00? Strange. But I have heard loads about this tiny little tub and thought it is the best time to give it a whirl.

Prancing into Superdrug now, I got the Revlon Nearly Naked Powder in Light for £7.99 to go with the Nearly Naked foundation. So far I like it but I don't really use powder too often only under my eyes but yes, I'm quite enjoying this powder at the moment. Also from Revlon I got myself two of the Revlon Lip Butters each for £7.99 one in the shade 'Strawberry Shortcake' which is a light barbie-ish pink and the other is 'Wild Watermelon' which is a new shade but a nice sheer pretty red.
Also fron Superdrug I, for some unknown reason, felt the need to re-purcahse the Bourjois 'Chocolate' Bronzer for £6.99, when I have no-where near even finished my other one(?) Does anyone else do that?
Okay back to Boots I re-purchased the Clinique Airbrush Concealer in the shade 03 Light, which I do actually need. But I love this under-eye brightener a lot it's just so nice for mornings for looking awake.
Debenhams now, I made an order from there a few weeks ago now almost a month ago and I bought the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette, I wanted the naked 1&2 for ages but whats the point, I don't wear eye shadow often and £42 is a lot of money for something that will hardy be used, so I opted for the smaller one of the bunch which is neutral (brilliant) and matte (bonus). So far, so good I'm really enjoying.

Also in my Debenhams order I got the Nails Inc. Leather Effect nail polish the black one. It's so awesome I love it! I just feel like 'yeah I have leather look nails, so what?' hehe. This was £12.00.
From Superdrug I also picked up the oh so popular BarryM Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Polish in Lychee which is a super pretty nude and I just adore it. It looks so pretty on the nails but It doesn't wash you out either and the colour looks nice with the packaging. Do you think?

So I have wanted a pair of Chelsea boots like these for so long and I could not find any that were not like 70 odd squids until I was nosing around online at Boohoo (love that store) and came across these Boots they were £30 and are ridiculously comfortable, I featured them in my last OOTD here.

So that is the end of my collective haul. Hope you are all well and speak to you soon.

Foundation 'Collection'

So it occurred to me the other day that I own a couple of bottle of foundation. Well I say a couple I mean 12 and adding.

I am going to use this as an opportunity to do some mini bullet point reviews on some the foundations that I own instead of having lots of big different ones. I have had most of these foundations for a pretty long time but a couple are far too dark for me from when I used to tan and just was never really into make-up and didn't know what I was doing. The foundations, mainly being drugstore, I just can't seen to get rid of and I don't know why but I like to see them and some I want to give another go.

Rimmel Wake me up SPF 15

Price - £8.99

Overall - If this was in the correct shade then I would love this foundation, I will get round to buying my shade eventually

Avon Ideal Flawless SPF 15 Foundation

Price - £12 (see Avon representative for catalogue)

I am going to re-try this foundation out as I didn't really give it a chance so I may to a full review on this foundation in the future.

Revlon Colour Stay

Mac Archie's Girls Lipstick 'OH OH OH'

Admittedly I was pretty scared when I received this in the post as it wasn't the colour I originally ordered, I actually ordered 'Girl Next Door' which is a girly, pretty pink shade from the Betty range and I really wanted to try it out, but instead I was sent 'OH OH OH' which is also from the Betty part of the collection.

There was a bit of a hoo har about the packaging about this collection, but in my opinion its pretty cool cartoony and different and stands out and nothing overly tacky. When I opened the lid of the bullet I was like 'oh..my..gosh its gold lipstick' haha, but when I bravely swatched it I found it was actually a really pretty, pearly sheer pink and looks quite flattering on the lips, and I am now a really big fan of the lipstick I cant get enough of it!

I purchased this online from Debenhams and 'OH OH OH' I haven't seen on their website(?) which is strange, but they had a sale on so instead of pay £15 for the lipstick I only payed around £13.50 not a lot off, but its still less. It is such a pretty colour and smells amazing just like all the other lipsticks, I am still pretty gutted about not getting the colour I asked for but it's sold out everywhere I have looked so what can you do 'ey?

What do you think about the collection?

Review | La Roche-Posay Physiological Cleansing Milk

Some of you may have seen I purchased this about 3weeks ago in one of my Boots hauls. I picked this up for £11.50 as it is for dry/very dry skin types and promises to remove make-up gently from the skin including waterproof make-up, whilst being moisturising and soothing.

To start with I'm not a fan of the smell, it smells a little similar to latex but it is bearable and you can't really smell it one you start applying it. On the bottle is saying to apply to cotton pad and remove make-up this way, however, I like to apply with fingers all over the face and remove with a cotton pad. This way I know where product had been applied and can be removed.
I would say on first time round it removed at least 85% of make-up so I'd recommend a 2nd cleanse to remove extra make-up you may not have picked up before hand, although this milk does leave a slight greasy feel, which may be down to choice of application, but it I spritz a cotton pad with water and swipe across my face then it removes any left over product.

As for waterproof make-up, I can't 100% promise this as like most people know the Benefit They're Real mascara is a pain in the butt to remove with normal make-up removers, this yes it does remove the product but not gently. I did find that a couple of eye lashes were also on my cotton pad and not all the mascara was removed, but the majority has been. Having said that, once the 2nd cleanse is complete my skin does feel pretty soft and clean.
What I like about this product is that it comes with a pump dispenser and has a twisty lock, so it is perfect for traveling with as no product can be pumped out in your bag/suitcase or what ever you may hold it in.

I do like this product, but not really enough to re-purchase but I would definitely try more of their products and see if I am impressed with those. Link to product here.

Have you ever tried this product?

March Glossy Box

Apologies for being so late on this post, but this is my second Glossy Box I have received out of the 3 I ordered, and what a box. I am so so pleased with the products I actually got, and I think most people were from what I have read.

This months box 'Get City Chic' was based on products to help you perfect look with multi-task products that give a high-maintanence achievable look with little time, effort and money. So Glossy says.

Tresmme Salon finsih Hairspray I actually already own this and love it! It hold's the hair in place but looks natural and brush's out with ease. It smells really nice, but I pretty much love the smell of most hairsprays. When you spray it it's not too 'wet' on the hair like if you touch straight away it's not sticky either.
The next product I was ultra excited about is the Juicy Couture La La. I have wanted this for a while but never got around to buying it, but now I have to just because I like to have sample perfumes to keep in my bag if I use it that day I can just slip it out and top up with out lugging a big bottle around in my bag. Its quite fruity and girly its good for day time but definitely strong enough for night time too.

Another product I could not wait to get my paws on was the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. I got so giddy when I saw this in other people instagram photo's I couldn't wait for mine to arrive. I have been using it every day morning and night and I just need to get this full size. I've been using it on my lips and they are now feeling pretty smooth and lipsticks sit really nice without seeing where I have chapped lips.

Nails Inc. polish in St James I wasn't 100% on at first I have red nail polish's to me they are quite 'old'(?) if that makes sense, but this one is quite pinky and SUPER fast drying it literally dry's with in second so its goo if your in a rush to go somewhere but forgot to do your nails. yes very impressed this this nail varnish.

Last up is the Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush. I have actually been using this as a cream blush and it looks real pretty and natural, you need quite a bit but I suggest building upon small amounts as it can be quite scary, but eventually it just sinks into the skin, again, looking natural and healthy. This is a lot like the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable and Clinique Chubby Sticks.

I am so so pleased this is months Glossy Box such great products it is a lot different to last months box, I was more excited about this one.

Monday Haul | Back to Boots

Another trip to Boots happened. I didn't get too much just a couple of bits.

First up I got the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation which I was hesitant to get at all just because I have such a load of foundations that I don't use as it is, but I caved why not! I will be trying this out and do a review on it soon. The Mac lipstick is actually not from Boots, but it is from Debenhams from the Archie's Girls collection it is in the shade 'oh oh oh' which I didn't ask for ( I asked for 'Girl Next Door' ) but I love this colour its a really pretty pink colour, so I'll will let you off Debenhams. Next up on the way to the till I couldn't resist picking up the Benefit Their Real! mascara, sample sized for £9.50 I do love this mascara as many many people do but still the idea of paying a little under £20 for mascara is crazy. At the Toni&Guy stand I got the Toni & Guy ClassicShine Gloss Serum sample size for £2.19 who can resist a sample size? I think samples are awesome! You only pay like less than £5 it's nice in the fact that, if you dislike the product you didn't pay lots of money for it so you can let it slip, you didn't waste money. This product is supposed to control frizz and leave ultra-shine on the hair so I will be testing this also.

This is the Denman Dressing Out Brush only £4.29. This is just a backcombing brush and I've always been meaning to pick one of these up but got a little lazy? I'm a little bored of my comb (sorry comb) so why not add to my brush's, and the brush itself looks pretty funky too I like the hot pink colour.

Onto Soap & Glory, I picked up the Archery Brow Tint and Pencil in Brownie Point, I love S&G names, this brow definer was £10. I got this just because I'm again bored of my Sleek Brow Kit, my routine is become very samey and I want to switch it up more, and this looks pretty cool with the double ends.

Last up is the Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Liner in Nude just to use in the waterline to brighten and widen my eyes in the mornings, I have the shade Taupe of these and I am really impressed so I picked up another one. They are nice and creamy and relatively long lasting.

So that's my mini haul for today, hope you guys are well :)

E-tail Webstores Competition | £200 Voucher

So e-tailwebstores has teamed up with In Love With Fashion to do a competition for a chance to win a £200 voucher to spend over on In Love With Fashion.

All you need to do to be in for a chance of winning is create a wish list from the website of some items you may like. Here is mine,

I chose six different pieces that really stood out to me, the playsuit more than most at it will be really pretty in the summertime and I love the lace detailing around the top. The top and trainers are just simple everyday pieces that can just be worn on an everyday basis, and the top could be paired up with a nice pair of skinny jeans and the ankle boot heel that I have also chosen. The dress stood out to be because it's quite elegant and is very statement so I personally wouldn't put too much jewellery with this.

To enter the competition just to go this link to see all the things you need to do.

Good luck guys if you enter :)

Bar Work | How I Dress

This is something I am going to try out because I have been working in a bar now for exactly 2 years and 7 months (really really long) and since I started to actually work behind the bar I never knew what to wear or what was appropriate in a way. By this I mean I don't want to look like I'm on a night out, but I want to look dressy, smart-ish and it is hard to do when you have to wear all black.

I would like to start by saying I'm not very good at fashion, but it is work and also I apologise for the horrendous photographs it is late at night and dark outside.

Wednesday Night

Black Maxi Dress - H&M
black Cardigan - Primark
Lipstick - Sleek 'Plush'

Thursday Night

Knee High Sock - New Look
Pocket Studded PU Shorts - H&M
Black Jumper - Topshop
Chain Necklace - Topshop
Skull Bracelet - Topshop

I do also work Friday and Saturday 's as well but I thought I would just ease it in and bring all four nights in depending on how this works :)
I wanted to do this post because it is really hard to find something inspirational that you can work with behind a bar, you know, you want to look and feel nice yet it should be practical easy to move in as you're busy moving fast you don't want something too tight as it can attract the wrong attention with drunk people, and will get uncomfortable. Likewise with shoes, I prefer flat shoes to like a heels boot or low wedge because you are at work and there are other people behind a bar with you you can easily trip and hurt yourself or someone else. What you wear also depends on what you are allowed to wear, all boss's are different with me pretty much anything goes except it shouldn't really be too revealing (not that I would anyway) or again impractical.

I hope this post may have helped some people who work in a bar. I'd love you to let me know in the comments what you think.
