Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner

I have seen multiple reviews of this product floating around and as I have dry and dull skin and some spot scaring I felt like I needed this in my life.

The Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Brightening Toner (£25) aims to chemically exfoliate the skin using fruit acids which prevents any build up of dead skin cells and also encourages cell renewal brightening the appearance of the skin. I was having a lot of problems with big red scars on my chin and bridge of my nose from really bad breakouts and I was expecting this to start working with in weeks of using it, but after my first 2 uses I honestly noticed that the redness had gone down so well and it really reassured me that I paid that money for something that actually works. I use this product twice a week on a cotton pad after cleansing and before my La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo and moisturiser.
I have been using this for about three weeks and my skin is improving more and more as I carry on. I does have a subtle tingling sensation after using it which shows that it is working I guess. I like the smell of this product there is an almost soapy scent to it I would say. It isn't strong or over powering to the nose it is just quite refreshing on the skin.

This brightening toner isn't drying so it is good for my dry skin and it doesn't feel tight at all. I am yet to be clear of all my scars but it has only been 3weeks so there are more weeks and more clearing of the skin to come *big smiles*.

Have you tried the Clarins Brightening Toner?

Anastasia Brow Wiz

Before

After

I have been after the Anastasia Brow Wiz for such a long time after I have been watching the Pixie sisters using it and it looks so natural and easy to use. Finally after seeing it on Cult Beauty I just couldn't resist.

As you can see from the picture I have majorly plucky my eyebrows *sad face* and I used to use powders to fill them in but I found it was quite easy for them to look drawn on, and also I found the Avon brow glimmersticks too waxy and they wern't a very good colour match.
I decided to get the shade Brunette for the Brow Wiz and it is the perfect colour match. There is a soft thin pencil on one end and the other end has a good sized spooly to easily tame those confused little hairs. The pencil is very small and fine so it makes it easy to fill in those spares areas and mimic the hairs, dream. The product isn't waxy but it isn't stubborn either so it is still easy to wipe away if you do make a mistake, also it is very simple to apply as it is still smooth. Another thing I L.O.V.E about this brow pencil is that it lasts all day so I don't have to worry about checking up on them checking they haven't smudge.
The spooly is a good size, not to small not to big so it places the hairs nicely where they should be. I like to spray a little bit of hairspray on it to extra tame those pesky ones that don't like to do what they are told. I really enjoy using this beautiful product to do my eyebrows in the morning and for £15.50 yes it is expensive but it is worth it, in my opinion. There aren't many brow products out there that could really mimic such fine natural looking hairs especially on the high street.

Have you tried this brow beauty?

Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick

I have been reading so many reviews of the Bourjois Rouge Edition lipsticks so while I was last in Superdrug I wondered over to the stand and really the only one that caught my eye was 11 Fraise Remix which is a pretty pink coral shade. The lipstick is very smooth and creamy and quite glossy on the lips and surprisingly feels rather hydrating on the lips too. I didn't find that I needed to re-apply very often only after food it needed a minor touch up.
The shade is very suitable for spring/summer as it is vibrant and bright. Also the hydrating touch means it won't leave the lips feeling tough and dry.
The lipstick is well pigmented but for the extra lasting time I suggest blotting and applying more until you are happy this stunning shade is going to to be kissable all day long, cheeky.
I have to say Bourjois has never been a high street brand that has stunned me and I don't own much from them only a foundation and their amazing chocolate bronzer, saying that I think now I have tried this lipstick I will be going to have another look to chose a few more of their many shades. Another thing about the lipstick is the packing. I love the sleek square tube with the shade showing at the end of the tube, they will look super pretty when I get my lipstick cases ordered soon.
Overall I'm very impressed with this creamy, hydrating lipstick and I can see the reason people are raving about these lippies so much.

Have you tried any of these? What is your favourite?

Summer Nails

I hope everyone had a lovely bank holiday as the sun was shining for us here in the UK. Such beautiful weather wasn't it petals :) Anyway, the sun gave me the feeling to brighten up my nails with some summer brights and also with the 3 for 2 offer at Superdrug on ALL cosmetics it was a good opportunity to pick up a couple of new colours. I was feeling inspired to do a little post on some polishes I think are quite summery and wearable this season.

Yes most of these are BarryM but I think they have such a good variety of colours and different effect/finishes and it is an easy nail brand to find the perfect shade for you.
Blueberry may not be for everyone but it is a pretty crayon blue and it is just a nice pop of colour on the nails I feel, with the summery blue sky why not have summery blue nails?
Lychee is from the Gelly Hi-Shine range from BarryM and very popular. With the nude nail trend setting sale early on this year Lychee was and still is the perfect grey, nude colour and very flattering.
Key Lime (Gelly Hi-Shine) is a new one for me and normally I wouldn't go for such a colour but it is very eye catching and really easy to wear. I did have mixed reactions on the colour but its nice and different. It is between a lime green and a grass green I would say. I don't know, I do (in a way) find it quite pretty against my complexion.
Greenberry (Gelly-Shine) is a pretty turquoise colour and very nice bright and really nice for the sunny days. Again it is just a lovely pop of colour and adds to an outfits. I love this shade it is so beautiful to look at.
Pomegranate (Gelly Hi-Shine) this varnish would be good for a summer night it is a deep pink but still quite bright and flattering (for me) for my skin tone. it may sound silly (or it may just be the name) but there is something quite fruity about all these colours(?)
Peaches & Cream (Topshop) is a bright peach colour doesn't sit well with my skin tone but for any one else it is such a lovely spring/summer nail varnish. It is very light and friendly to the eye.

I think although we have not had much sun in the UK we should still inflict a bit of colour in to our day and the nails are the perfect way to do so, I think.

Whats your summer nail colour?

Where I Shop Online.

(image from WeHeartIt)

I love nothing more than making a little online purchase. There are discount codes for everything, its quick, everything is right there and there is no disappointment when you can't find what your looking for, and no-one gets in your way, but also as humans we also love a bargain and I am always on the hunt for high-end make-up on discounted websites and if you look in the right place you will find what you want. So I thought I would give you some good tips and sites on getting high-end make-up cheap. *wink*

A tip of mine is keep an eye out of any discount code and sign up to any website so you know straight away via e-mail what discounts are going and when they start, as some websites give you a heads up as to when their sales will start so you are ready and money waiting to be spent. Another thing, which may sound strange, is I like to set up a basket/cart online and add things to it that I want to buy and then save it, and wait for a discount comes along all you need to do is add the code and your done. This way you know you are going to get what you want before/incase it sells out (due to discount/sale) and also you wouldn't feel the need to buy a bunch of stuff you don't need or won't use.
A good website I use is My Voucher Codes I signed up and receive e-mails telling me of all kinds of different offers going and also if its a department store like Debenhams it tells you which department.

I spend literally hours searching the net for new websites that offer high-end make-up for cheaper prices or even discontinued make-up, which some websites do offer but they can be quite expensive. Some of the sites I like to cruise through;

Feel Unique -quite popular and some products aren't a lot of discount but hey a discount is a discount.
CheapSmells is better at the fragrance side of the net but they do have some good products on there, it's one of those you have to be looking at the right time, kind of sites but still worth checking out.
Cocktail Cosmetics this site sells, Real techniques, Lime Crime, OCC, Sigma Brushes...and a good variety of products/brands..some cosmetics are discounted some are not but they always have products in the SALE section (currently Real Techniques sets are on sale £18.95)
Fragrance Direct this site is very good and you may have seen a big 'hoo harr' about the amazing £1.99 cosmetics they are selling and they do a major variety of men and women fragrances for a good price.
Love Cosmetics this site sells brands like Benefit, Chanel, Jemma Kidd and others all at discount prices. There are only a selection of products per brand it isn't all of their products at discount prices.
All Cosmetics Wholesale is an American website which sells discontinued products from brands like Mac and also some discounted products like Make-up Forever, Dermablend, OCC, Becca and others. Again there is only a selection of products per brand. The site ships worldwide so us in UK can also make orders.
You can also buy cosmetics from eBay and Amazon but you must be careful what your buying and also read reviews for the person you are buying from.

So there are a few sites that I use the most for buying high-end make-up quite cheap. But you know I'm not saying spend all your free time on the internet searching for discount codes and cosmetics, but a quick tap of letter in google like 'discounted high-end make-up' all different options are there. Specify what you are looking for, and like CheapSmells & FeelUnique they can sell the same product at different prices so compare and go for the cheaper option.
Keep and eye out for things in Magazines, some mags like Company have discount vouchers at the back so on an advert keep those eye peeled people. Oh and look at the bottom for when they run out so you know you won't miss out.

GO! GO! GO! Girls.
I hope this was helpful.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo's

I'm a little late to jump on the Colour Tattoo cream shadows by Maybelline but only recently I have been getting into using shadows, powder and creams. I have only picked up 4 of the 24hour colours so far to try out so these are the ones.

Emerald Gold

Turquoise Forever

Pink Gold

Permanent Taupe

I really like the creamy texture of these products and they make for very good bases, similar to things like Mac Paint pots and Stila Smudge Pots, but they can also be used alone as shadows or eyeliners.

Emerald Gold looks gorgeous with blue eyes and I like to apply very lightly across the lid and it looks really pretty as an inner corner highlight.  The colours are very pigmented so a little bit goes a long way and with eye shadow on top they each look beautiful.
Pink Gold looks super pretty underneath Mac's Naked Lunch eye shadow, and Emerald Gold I think looks nice as a base for Mac's Era shadow. I bought Turquoise Forever just for its stunning peacock, tropical blue but I have never worn it and I don't know how I would wear this (any tips leave a comment) and permanent Taupe I thought would look really nice with my eyes, however, I just am not used to wearing dark colours and also as we are coming into ''summer'' I wouldn't wear such hard colours on the eyes.
I really like the glass packaging and circle shade, as they are sturdy and sit nicely in a row. Also the lid shuts tightly and all the product is also tightly compact into the glass tub.

What do you think on the Colour Tattoo's?

Haul | Asos, Miss Guided, Cult Beauty ect..

Some of you may know that recently it was my birthday and I got a little bit of money for my birthday so it was a great opportunity to splerg a little, don't you agree? So I thought I would gather up some things I have collected over the last week, as a treat to myself.

I'll start with ASOS as I only got 2 things from there, I bought this Symbol Beanie £10 and it is really stretchy and comfortable to wear, like my boyfriend some of you may be thinking ''but it's coming into summer, why buy a hat'' my answer is I live in England. Out spring has had at least 5 days really nice hot days and we are now approaching June..so it is still quite cold..so that is why I bought a new hat, and I just wanted to buy something hehe.
The other thing I got from ASOS  was just some shorts for the man.

I placed an order from Missguided and bagged myself a couple of dresses which have turned about be really see-through *sad face* but I will make it work some way or another. But the first dress is a pretty pale salmon, jersey skater dress (12.99) and I thought would be really good for summer (hoping it will be getting hotter) as the material is quite thin, considering this is rather see-through I am thinking it will look nice over a bikini down the beach maybe,  but I will have to invest in some similar colour underwear before I think of wearing this out..this dress is quite simple, girly and flowy and a nice addition to my dull grey wardrobe.
The other dress I got from +Missguided is this gorgeous coral midi dress (£14.99) this is a really good length for me as it sits just bellow the knees. It isn't tight around the end making it easy to walk in whether it be heels or flats. Both dresses are in size S/M which I believe is UK 10-12.

Next up +boohoo.com a really cheap order this one as all the things I bought were £5 and under and also I had a 20% discount code for my birthday which they e-mailed to me.
I have purchased a black high-neck crop top form Boohoo before and really loved how comfortable and lose they were around the neck area so I picked up 2 more. they are the Victoria Roll Neck one in Coral and one in Green. I really love the material of the tops they are soft and stretchy and lose around the neck so it's easy not to feel claustrophobic or 'strangled' which is good as I am not really one for turtle neck type tops at all, but these are really easy to wear. Also these tops are a bargain at just £5 each.
Also from Boohoo I ordered two new pairs of sunglasses, for the sunnier days we are so lucky to receive here in England, the top pair are the Callie Mirrored Wayfarer glasses £4 and I am going to guess are a very cheap dupe for the Rayban Wayfarer. The second pair is  the Alana Black Retro glasses £5 which yes look very very similar but these ones are a little smaller and a littler more stiffer when you open them up. Either way I'm really happy with my clothes purchases.

Just a few random bits now. If you follow me on instagram (link in 'contact me' page) you will have seen that I received a package from Cult Beauty. My skin has been so bad recently leaving me with scars from spots and getting spots and I have been reading so many posts about the Ren Glycolactic Skin Renewal Mask (£30) so I put it in my basket and have only used it once but I can already tell it is going to be my skins best friend from now on. Also from the cult website I picked up the Anastasia Brow Wiz (£15.50) in the shade Brunette and it is a perfect match, and also now my new favourite eyebrow product.

I popped into Boots and picked up the Clarins Exfoliating Brightening Toner (£25) which I have been reading some good informative reviews on recently. Also in the hope that this and my Ren mask will both help renew my naughty dull skin. I can already tell you I am seeing noticeable differences after 4 uses of the brightening toner, in the chin area my spot scars are already minimised although it still has to work its magic in the areas.

From Feel Unique I ordered the Sienna X Gradual Glowing Self Tan (£15.95) as I was feeling a little white during the couple of sunny days we had, and this smells beautiful and also after this has developed (8hours after application) I looked a healthy bronze colour which a lovely glow to the skin. I was so so pleased to see that it generally didn't streak at all, as whilst this was developing I was having my hair done at home, so I had to wash my hair a few times and even when there was loads of water running down my arm, there was no streaks. A good buy indeed.

What have you been buying recently?

My Sleek Lipsticks

You may have seen I did a review not so long ago on one of the Sleek Lipstick Palettes (here) and I thought to myself 'I own quite a few products from the brand so why not go threw and do some reviews on what I own. I really love Sleek as for a high street brand they are good value for money and really highly pigmented which not all high street brands can say they are, as pigmented as this brand. So today I am going to share with you what lipsticks I own.

Papaya Punch-is the first Sleek product I ever laid hands on, it is a very orange toned coral. It is a matte finish, I do find it to tug on the lips so I would recommend using a lip brush for smoother application, also I can find this lipstick to be rather drying after a while so be sure to use a hydrating lip balm before you apply and throughout the day you may feel the need to just dab a little over the top. All of that being said, as I mentioned before the Punch colour is truly pigmented and they also last a very long time.
Barley There- This is a very peachey nude and is very creamy and quite hydrating on the lips. It is a sheen finish so it leaves the lips looking quite glossy and pretty. Barley there is very good for everyday wear if you just want something quick and each although, I don't get too much use out of it as the orange tone to is doesn't sit well with my skin tone ( as I have mentioned before )
Cherry- is rather similar to Mac's Rebel, but a little more of a rose tint to it(?) On the lips it looks a little more of a deep vampire red, super pretty. I think this is such a beautiful evening shade to add to an outfit  a little like the cherry on the cake if you will (no pun indented) This lipstick is also a sheen finish like 'Barley There' so it leaves a slight gloss to the lips.
Plush- This is the newest lippie to the bunch and quite similar (from what I've seen) to Soap&Glory's 'Pom Pom' both of these being matte finishes. Unlike Papaya Punch I don't find 'plush' as dragging on the lips. Plush is a very nice raspberry pink shade as is very versatile so good for day and evening.

I like to use all of these lipsticks with a lip brush as they apply better and you can use it to line the lips easier. Sleek is available in Superdrug and only cost £4.99 each. I think for £5 the quality and pigmentation is just amazing and I don't think many brands along  the high street can compete with amazing pigmentation and very long lasting, normally I find most brands to be one or the other.

Whats your favourite Sleek lipstick? Have you tried them before?
